THE PHOTOS

THEIR STORIES

  1. I bought a new bookshelf and that meant I had to entirely rearrange my room. IT IS BEAUTIFUL NOW.
  2. My mum's birthday presents!
  3. We went out for dinner for my mum's birthday and this was my starter - prawn cocktail served in a jar. Yes yes yes.
  4. FOO FIGHTERS. AH YES. MY BOYS. MY FAVOURITE PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. I SAW THEM LIVE FOR THE SECOND TIME AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE.
  5. The baes <3
  6. Cute coffee and cake with my mum.
  7. Stage one of moving into my room for my second year of university.
  8. And stage 2...
  9. And stage 3... Complete!
  10. The drive to Bath to actual move into my new uni house. Got all the important things, obvs.
  11. Afternoon tea at the Jane Austen centre. It was delicious at it looks.
  12. Scone close up.
  13. I went for a little explore around my new town, and discovered a beautiful view. Is it just me or does this look a little bit like The Shire? (Probs doesn't but I like to believe I live in Middle Earth okay.)
  14. I could have taken photos of this abandoned building forever.
  15. Found a cute little path that was lined by trees and it let to this stream! V. cute.
  16. I also found a church and had a look at all the gravestones. They had some insanely old ones in there and it was just really interesting to look around.
  17. Cows all stood in a weird line. Um guys what you doing?
  18. This is genuinely the view from my bus stop. And no, it hasn't got old yet.
FIN
And that's it for now! I just want to apologise for the month long break in between blog posts... There area couple of reasons for this; partly that I moved into this new house and had no internet for a few weeks. And also that I just have no motivation to write blog posts. I'm just not feeling inspired to write and I have no good ideas so posts might be few and far between until I get back into the groove (which lets all pray will happen soon).

Alright, good. Byeeeeeee x

August in Photos

AUGUST RECAP
Whoops might've forgotten that August had ended and that this was thing I do over here. Sorry about that, but hey who cares that September is nearly halfway done now, let's just look at what I did in August.

THE PHOTOS

WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
  1. This was taken on the evening of our first day in Italy. We were in Rome and hey, turns out Rome does gorgeous sunsets.
  2. Arrived at the villa we'd be living in for the week and made friends with a horse.
  3. Ice cream gang.
  4. There was a festival in our local town of Scala to celebrate their patron saint, St. Lorenzo. It began with a religious procession through the streets, and then a brass band played and they had the most amazing fireworks ever. They sounded like cannons and filled the air with beautiful colours and smoke so thick you could hardly see through it. It was an incredible night.
  5. Pompeii! It was very very hot on this day and there wasn't much shade in Pompeii so we didn't get to spend as long as we liked there, but what we saw was amazing. It's so interesting to see this town preserved in a slightly terrifying way.
  6. "We're just planning our pose!" (Still in Pompeii btw)
  7. The whole Italy gang! Kinda miss these guys.
  8. Exploring Amalfi. It's a very busy, touristy town, but it was also very italian and very cute. I particularly love this photo because it's at the end of Amalfi, literally the end. You couldn't go any further.
  9. The view from a pre-wedding party we went to. We were Italy for the wedding, only 4 of the 10 of us where going to the wedding (I was not one of the four) but doesn't mean the remaining six of us couldn't gatecrash the party and take full advantage of the free food and drinks.
  10. The Rogers family feet on the last night in Scala :(
  11. Last night in Italy here. We went to a fancy restaurant, met two Australian men who worked on CHANNEL 9 AND CHANNEL 11 WHAT? and had complimentary limoncello. Please ignore how dead my face looks in this photo, I didn't look like that irl.
  12. Our hotel room in Rome got upgraded and we had a hot tub and a gym in. our. room.
  13. The Colosseum!
  14. Annnnd back to England.
  15. I went to that massive lush on Oxford Street. 3 floors of Lush... no big deal.
  16. THUNDAMENTALS. These guys were amazing and I loved every second of the concert. They need to come back asap. Also not to brag but Tuka, one of the frontmen, liked my photos on instagram. Pretty rad. (I have a pretty big crush on him btw, so y'know.)
  17. Hilltop Hoods were the headline band on that night and they were also amazing. I love them and I sang along very loudly, especially when they sang Cosby Sweater.
  18. This was taken in a secret bar in Bristol called The Milk Thistle. It was like one of the prohibition, speakeasy bars. Very swanky. Very cool.
  19. Back to Walkabout in Bristol for bundy and burgers.
  20. Cocktails. I can't remember what was in this but it was really good. It might have been a daiquiri?
  21. During a cute little pub crawl in London. This was at The Black Lion.
  22. This was the next pub along, it was called The George and Devonshire. I suuuuck at pool.
  23. And at darts.
  24. My sister's moved to Australia and so we had to celebrate her birthday a bit early. This was our breakfast from that day.
  25. Pro fashion tip: make sure your dress matches the flowers of the place you're visiting.
  26. The day before she left we went to Chichester Harbour for a British beach day. It's cute there.
  27. Our feet at the seaside!
ONTO SEPTEMBER
I hope you're all having a rad September and I hope the rest of it is rad too.

And tell me how your August was in the comments! Did you do anything fun? Travel anywhere?

13. Summer at my house means fire bowls in the garden.

15. Wearing a cactus t-shirt and admiring the flowers at the garden centre... is it obvious that I really like plants?
16. We visited Castle Coombe for Father's Day, and it turns out they filmed Stardust there which is a film I adore!

25. Officially moved out of halls now. Bye little uni room :(
26. All empty! :(
27. Avocado on toast and coffee. Classic me.

AND ONTO JULY
And that't my June in photos. June was a pretty rad month, and if Dave hadn't broken his leg it probably would have been my best yet (I say probably but I mean definitely, I love the Foo Fighters that much.) Luckily Dave Grohl is my favourite human in the universe so I don't mind too much, plus there's always next time.

April in Photos

THE PHOTOS

THE STORIES
This is my April in photos, and here are the stories of these photos:

1. My sister did a Disney photo shoot and this was the Belle inspired makeup that I had.
2. Easter treats #1.
3. Easter treats #2 - pavlova made by me and my my mum!
4. Easter treats #3 - hot cross loaf made by me!
5. Penguins at the zoo.
6. Me at Marwell zoo :)
7. I held a baby for the first time ever and he held my hair. It was kinda adorable (okay very adorable).
8. Bundy and coke with my sister on National Sibling Day.
9. This sunset view was on the roof of a carpark. Pretty rad, huh.
10. We went to get churros and mocktails before going to the cinema and they had sombreros in the bar so we became SOMEBREBROS.
11. Waiting for food in wagamama and I was STARVING. I don't think I'd eaten food that wasn't pretzels since about 9am and at this point it was about 7pm. That's a long time to live on just pretzels.
12. More mocktails, but with my mum this time. They were deliciooous!
13. We were looking through old photo albums and I found this photo of my sister and I at the 12 Apostles taken in 1997. How crazy is that? I would have been 1! (I'm the one on the left.)
14. Look at this adorable little cake! It tasted as yummy as it looked.
15. My family and I went for afternoon tea at the Jane Austen centre in Bath and it was one of the best I've ever had. If you're in Bath definitely visit this place for "tea with Mr Darcy"!
16. On that same weekend we stayed in the Tracy Park Hotel (just outside of Bath city) and we had a four poster bed! It was so cosy.
17. Coffee in the sunshine just before my lecture. It was lovely.
18. I went to the Harry Potter Studio tour in Watford with my mum and sister and saw the REAL HOGWARTS EXPRESS. So so so cool <3.

THAT'S IT
So that's my April in photos. April was such a great month and I did lots of lovely things.

How was your April? Let me know what you got up to in the comments :)

Australian Adventure

FOND MEMORIES
So this time last year I had just gotten back from Melbourne, Australia. For the past two weeks Facebook has been telling me things I was doing last year and showing me photos I'd posted whilst on my adventures. (Thanks to the rad little "on this day" feature they have!) I have such fond memories of my Melbourne adventure and the photos I took there always bring a smile to my face when I see them.

And so I thought, why not create a blog post about my time there? So here we go!

PHOTOS AND STORIES

This is Degraves, or as we renamed it 'The Dark Alley'. It was the raddest alley lined with cafés, restaurants and a couple of shops. We went down there for breakfast nearly every day because all the cafés were so good. My personal favourite was either 'The Journal' or 'The Quarter'.

I'm a huge fan of the Australian soap 'Neighbours' and we got to go on the set and even meet a star! This was James Mason who plays the character of Chris on the show.

This is probably my favourite photo from the entire trip! Taken on The Great Ocean Road, where we had stopped at this little area that was basically just some trees and a tiny shop, but in the trees were hundreds of rosellas (that's the bird for anyone who doesn't know)! Our tour guide gave us bird seed and the rosellas would eat the food straight out of your hands. I even had birds on my shoulder and head!

This is my and my sister at the aquarium. This was the best tank, filled with sharks and huge stingrays. It was amazing.

I love this photo! My mum having a stare down with a shark! This guy was a proper mean looking shark, he looked like he'd definitely eaten some people before...

Penguins at the aquarium.

This is the entrance to the Great Ocean Road!

Our first stop on the Great Ocean Road was Lorne. Here we had coffee in stained cups (a bit gross but we laughed it off, it's cool), ate delicious biscuits and watched these people surfing! The cool thing about stopping in Lorne was that my mum realised that we'd stayed in the campsite just across the road when we'd been there about 20 years beforehand. I was one the first time round so I obviously didn't remember it, but it was still rad to know!

Still in Lorne. There was a koala sitting in one of these trees and cockatoos flying overhead! Our first proper sighting of Australian wildlife.

Incase you needed a reminder of why I love Melbourne so much.

Me and rosellas. Seriously in love with this birds.

Look at this cutie.

I waded across a little bit of sea to a small sandy patch to take a photo of this beautiful starfish.

These are the Twelve Apostles, the highlight of the Great Ocean Road tour. It was so beautiful here, like this photo doesn't even begin to cover it.

Another apostle!

#nofilter

We also went on a day trip to Philip Island for the Penguin Parade (penguins coming out from the sea at sunset, I have no photos of that because you're not allowed to take them there). We first stopped at the Moonlit Sanctuary where we got to feed kangaroos. This one held me hand. It was the best moment of my life.

I kinda wanted to take this little guy home. SO cute.

#nofilteragain. This was at The Nobbies, where we stopped just before going to the penguin parade. It was hella windy there but so gorgeous.

This was the first photo taken of me in Melbourne! We were waiting to meet one of my sisters friends for coffee.

This was along the Great Ocean Road also, at a place called Cape Otway. We had lunch here and then had a little while to explore the area. I loved it there and I want to go back!

FIN
And that's it. I took over a thousand photos while I was there so obviously this is just a very small selection of them. I had the time of my life in Melbourne and I'm hella excited to be going back in December!

If you ever get the chance to go to Australia, please do! I promise you'll love it.

Thanks for reading, remember to follow me for posts at least once a week (and very often more).

P.S. Sorry the photos are in a slightly odd order. I'm blogging on the go and I don't know how to move them around on the app...

A Day At The Zoo

HEY
I went to Marwell Zoo with my family a few days ago, and I had such a rad day! And so this is going to be a photo heavy post because let's be honest here, cute animals are better than a load of writing!

ANIMALLLLS
To the zoooo! (Featuring the sun making me squint)
We made it look like the giraffe was eating my head, because why not.

Hippos and hipsters

My sister took this one, but I couldn't not include it, because it's so cute!

Lunchtime selfies

AND THAT'S IT
And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this post, I guess it's a little different for me considering there is so little writing, but I'm making up for it with the cutest animals you ever did see.

In the comments below tell me what your favourite animal is! :)

Thanks for reading, I hope you're having a fab day, speak to you next week ^-^
